Sue Bonner • Community Manager

Sue Bonner has brought boundless energy to her role as Community Manager at Avidor Minnetonka since January 2024. With a passion for enhancing residents’ lives, Sue is dedicated to creating a vibrant and supportive environment where both team members and residents can thrive. Her commitment extends to fostering growth, building meaningful connections, and ensuring that each day is lived to the fullest. When she’s not engaging with the community, Sue enjoys boating with her husband of 32 years, Tom, at their northern Minnesota cabin. She also treasures quality time with their three adult children. Whether at work or home, Sue is all about spreading joy and making lasting memories.

Melissa Fischer • Assistant Community Manager

An engineer by trade – Melissa’s analytical mind lends itself to the financial components of her role here at Avidor Minnetonka. After spending five years in senior living, she decided to transition to the Active Adult sector for a greater work-life balance. Melissa loves to travel with her husband while letting the six children hold down the fort. She loves crime shows, mysteries and puzzles and would like to be a detective in her other life.

Barbara Speltz • Sales Consultant

Barbara’s favorite quest in life is discovering ‘small world’ stories with everyone she meets. That trait has suited her well from her work in development, management and marketing to senior-living sales and now 55+ Active Adult. Her enthusiasm and optimism are contagious to be sure! After attending Luther College, she moved from her hometown of Chicago to the Twin Cities in pursuit of more snow, since she loves everything about winter. Her personal passions are volunteering, competitive sailing, competitive cross-country skiing and violin performance.

Lori Hirsch • Leasing Consultant

Lori is a Leasing Consultant for Avidor Minnetonka. Lori’s credentials as a realtor, interior designer, boutique owner, and sales expert blend perfectly with all the hats a leasing consultant wears in a day. Her goal is to work with prospective residents in a personalized manner, to help them find the right fit for their situation. Being a part of the Avidor community has been a blessing for Lori. She is a lover of all dogs and enjoys spending time with her kids.

Denise Pedersen • Lifestyle Coordinator

Denise joins the Avidor Minnetonka team with a vast experience in event planning, arts and crafts, and fitness.  She has a passion for teaching group fitness and also working as a certified personal trainer. Outside of work, Densie enjoys interior design as well as spending time with her four boys and granddaughter! The residents at Avidor Minnetonka give her purpose and a sense of community, and for anyone who has attended events at Avidor Minnetonka, you know Denise loves to plan and execute an amazing party!

Joe Harrer • Service Supervisor

Joe has spent most of his career in apartment maintenance – starting in 2001 at the University of Minnesota. Joe transitioned into senior living in 2011. He has experience in many trades and used that knowledge to build his first home in 1990! He is a sportsman at heart and enjoys fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling and can be found ‘up north’ most weekends with his wife and son. Joe enjoys working with our Active Adult residents each day and making their homes as carefree as possible. He gets satisfaction accomplishing his tasks each and every day for the residents and the community.
